VELOCITY
I grew up in the Middle East, in a small little Emirate called Sharjah. At the age of 18, I ventured to London.
It was here that my passion for health and fitness boomed.
I like to try EVERYTHING!
At school, I enjoyed playing lots of different sports. Now I’m ‘all grown up’ I like running marathons, entering crazy events like a Tough Mudder or the Breca Challenge and testing myself through sporting events such as a Triathlon and White Collar Boxing.
Recently I have developed a passion for building strength through a variety of programming techniques leading to competing in the Crossfit Open.
I feel I have to experience as much as I can to ensure that I can understand what I am putting my clients through!
My journey within the fitness world began as a personal assistant for one of London’s top coaches Lloyd Chivandiare. He was my inspiration and I spent two years developing my knowledge under his tutelage.
After graduating University I started working for Sweaty Betty, a high end fitness clothes brand, managing the store in Marylebone, London.
Throughout this time, I personal trained clients and taught a variety of different fitness classes within the shop studios, ranging from run clubs to high intensity interval training. These classes were programmed by different celebrity coaches, such as Body by Simone, where we were all trained by Simone herself, in partnership with Sweaty Betty.
After 6 years in London I moved to Jersey, where I have further developed my love of teaching through working alongside Tom Webster, at the Professional Fitness Academy to teach the level 2 and 3 personal training qualifications.
I also joined a local personal training company where I spent two years further developing my experience of leading group classes and of working with clients on a semi private, one to one and two to one basis.
I have recently set up my own personal training business, Velocity.
I work out of a quirky, small boxing gym found in the heart of St Helier, called LH fitness studio, owned by the lovely Ben Harding and Dave Lund.
We are a little family and we all work together to achieve our goals.
No matter what stage you are at, I can come up with the best solution and plan for you!
